National Harbor Sells Land to Disney
The Peterson Companies announced today the sale of land at its National Harbor development near Washington, DC to Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. Disney is considering using the 15-acre site overlooking the Potomac River in National Harbor, MD as the location for a resort hotel for families and others visiting the National Capital Region.

In a new TV commercial for Freestyle Music Park, the former Hard Rock Park, an announcer appears with a family - mom, dad, son and daughter - to see how they like one of the park's roller coasters. "It's official folks," the announcer says as the family rejoices after the ride, "this ride rocks."
Texas State Fair officials envision a year-round rival to Six Flags
Officials at the State Fair of Texas said Monday they want to convert the midway into an amusement park to compete with Six Flags Over Texas, though on a smaller scale and with a cheaper price. A roller coaster is planned, as is a ride called the Top of Texas Centennial Tower that will send thrill-seekers 500 feet into the air.
Deputy Mayor, Premier, & Coney Island Panel announce Park Development Recommendations

President Jim Seay were joined today by members of the Coney Island Amusement Advisory Panel to announce findings and recommendations for the development of a new 21st Century, 27-acre amusement and entertainment district at Coney Island, Brooklyn.
